Looking for work?

If you're looking for part or full time work, I've got two resources for you to check out.

First, Social Work PRN http://www.socialworkprn.com/locations/new_jersey.php .  Located in Montclair, NJ, they are a social work placement agency.  They are frequently looking to place social workers in temporary and permanent positions.  Contact Linda Blank via this link if you are interested, and ask her to add you to her email blast.  Social Work PRN has offices in other states as well.

Second, Therapy Source http://www.txsource.net/ .  Also a professional placement agency, I contract with them and have been very pleased with their professionalism and responsiveness.  This agency places social workers, physical, speech, and occupational therapists in many settings, including schools.  Contact Colleen Lidstone and tell her I sent you!

Visual schedules to help with routines

I found this idea for a visual schedule in a parenting magazine and it has worked wonders for our busy mornings at home.

If my kiddo knows what she needs to do she'll usually do it.  A visual schedule helps her know what's done and what she needs to do- without me reminding her!

I used a colored file folder and magnets to make this simple morning routine visual schedule.

These can be used at home, school, and even in session, any place where kids might need help tackling a to-do list.

Great site for ed/sped apps

This site does a great job of reviewing educational apps.  They also post when previously pay apps are free.  I've downloaded many high quality apps for free.

Check it out, and please share your favorite apps with us!
